For the kids' craft item containers, I used empty plastic coffee ground containers, old baskets that I think are pretty and wanted to show off (and still have it be functional), shoe boxes, baby wipe containers, etc. I just covered them with some scrapbook paper and labeled what's in them with a sharpie. As the shelving unit is open and in the diningroom I wanted it to look organized.
